will build, step by step, a system of vintage reserves for Mulan, defined by year, origin, harvest, craft, batch, quantity and individual numbering.

Some teas can be made year after year.
For others, we prefer to remember the year they belong to.
The season will return,
but this season will not.
MULAN RESERVE is the reserve system of MULAN TEA STORY®
built for the teas worth recording in time.
In 2027, we will continue to refine this system.
What we wish to record is more than the name of a tea.
For the works that will enter MULAN RESERVE, we hope to establish as complete a record of identity as possible:
YEAR
Recording the season it belongs to.
ORIGIN
Recording where a tea truly begins.
HARVEST
Recording when the leaf was picked.
MAKER
Recording the judgment left in it by people and by craft.
BATCH
Recording the individual identity of this batch.
EDITION
Recording how much of this season remained, in the end.
NUMBER
Giving every reserve a place of its own.
We hope that one day, when you open a MULAN RESERVE,
you will see more than a tin of tea.
You will see a span of time that can be traced.
A new spring will come.
New teas will come.
But we will not decide that something must become a reserve simply because the time has come.
Only works truly worth keeping
will enter MULAN RESERVE.
