TASTING

Utterly clear, utterly pure; bud tips fine and tender.

Tender-Bud, Clear Longjing (75g Single Tin)

Melting on the tongue, fresh as drinking sweet dew, an aftertaste light yet far-reaching.

The year's earliest first picking, precious as gold, limited in supply each year. The clearest liquor, the most tender bud tips, freshness at its utmost, melting on the tongue — the purest, clearest expression of Longjing; miss it and wait another year.

AROMAAroma

The year's earliest first pick, a tender fragrance utterly clear and pure; to the warm nose, the breath of new-born bud tips, almost without stray scent; the aroma at the cup's base faint to the point of cleanliness.

TASTETaste

Melting on the tongue, fresh as drinking sweet dew; the clearest liquor, the most tender bud tips; an aftertaste light yet far-reaching — utterly clear, utterly pure, one season a year only.

85–90°C; never pour boiling water straight onto the buds
Brewing
Glass or white porcelain gaiwan, 3g of tea. Water at 85–90°C (boiling water left to cool, lid off, for about a minute); pour the water first, then the tea. Wait for the buds to unfurl, one to two minutes, and drink; refill when one third remains — fresh and brisk, without bitterness.
