TASTING
Composed, rich, penetrating — wild character and nectar sweetness side by side.

Heavy, pure bitterness that releases fast — sweetness after bitterness, salivation surging.
Trees of about 200 years at an average elevation of approx. 1,650 m; April 2023 batch — two years aged. The core of Lao Man'e is heavy bitterness, strong energy, ample depth, fast release: the aroma is composed and rich, understated yet penetrating, with a singular wild note and a faint nectar sweetness. Bitterness is its soul — on entry bitter as coptis, but the bitterness is full, pure and clean-edged, a living bitterness rather than a dead one: once it releases, what follows is a strong, lasting returning sweetness and swift salivation, the mouth and throat sweet and comfortable. The liquor is golden and bright, weighty and full with a gentle press on the tongue; the energy is very strong, the sensation unmistakable. Those who dare to drink bitter tea always come back to Lao Man'e.
Composed and rich, understated yet penetrating; beneath the wild character a faint nectar sweetness; a clean sweet scent on the empty cup — the promise of returning sweetness after the bitterness.
Bitter as coptis on entry, yet the bitterness is full, pure and clean-edged — living, not dead; once it releases, returning sweetness is strong and lasting, salivation swift; the soup weighty with a gentle press on the tongue, the energy strong, the sensation unmistakable.
