TASTING
Composed floral and nectar aroma, a striking hidden depth, a long mark on the empty cup.

Heavy bitterness that releases fast into fierce returning sweetness — a thick, firm soup and commanding energy.
Trees of about 200 years at an average elevation of approx. 1,800 m; April 2025 batch. Banzhang — hailed as the king of pu-erh: commanding, strong in energy, heavy in bitterness. The floral and nectar aroma is composed and grounded, with a striking hidden depth and a lasting mark on the empty cup; on entry the bitterness is clear but releases fast, turning at once into fierce, lasting returning sweetness and salivation; the soup is full, weighty and firm, with a distinct press on the tongue. The sensation is strong — a few cups in, the body warms and a light sweat breaks. For the phrase strong in energy, Banzhang is the benchmark.
Floral and nectar notes both composed and grounded, with a striking hidden depth; restrained in the first two infusions, yet the empty cup holds its scent long — an aroma that commands the room.
