Rougui leaf is thick and strongly rocky; cassia-bark scent is its calling card. Here fruit scent leads, cassia bark closes, spice and sweetness interwoven. Priced by the catty — a beginning in terroir teas need not be expensive.
Fruit scent leads, with the sweetness of ripe fruit; cassia bark follows to close, the cultivar identity clear; in the empty cup fruit sweetness and spice coexist.
