TASTING
Honey scent settled into the liquor, roast note and sweet note fused.
Thick, silky sweetness; honey at the back of the throat; a faint spice at the close.
When the roast is done right, rougui's own sugars turn into honey scent — not the sweetness of added sugar, but a sweetness brewed by fire and leaf together. Thick-bodied liquor, honey scent sunk into the water, a thread of spice in the finish.
Honey scent settled into the liquor, roast note and sweet note fused; not a sweetness floating on the lid, but one brewed out by the charcoal fire; the empty cup holds a warm honeyed sweetness.
Thick, silky, sweet liquor, honey welling at the back of the throat; the sweetness lives in the body, the thickness in its base; a faint spice closes the final steeps — a reminder that this is still rougui.
