TASTING
The dry leaf is honey laced with orchid. Once brewed the honey rises first, the orchid behind it. After three steeps the aroma sinks into the liquor, no longer on the surface — only a sweet scent turning in the mouth.

Sweet and silky on entry, no astringency, without the heaviness common to black tea — it is alive. The returning sweetness lasts for several steeps, like a mouthful of honeyed water held on the tongue. Good in the morning, with pastries or on an empty stomach.
Jinjunmei is finished from single buds — the summit of Wuyi black tea. Honey and orchid notes merge into a liquor that is sweet, silky and alive, with lingering sweetness after many steeps. As worthy of your own table as of a gift.
OUR CHOICE
Why we chose this tea
Jinjunmei is the summit of Wuyi black tea. We made this one in the Tongmuguan lapsang way, but from the tenderest single buds. Single buds mean every two jin of fresh leaf yield barely one jin of tea, dense with golden tips. Why choose it? Black teas with aroma are many; ones at once sweet, silky, alive and worth drinking through, few.
